The Montana Center for Work Physiology and Exercise Metabolism (WPEM) has recently been developed in order to continue The University of Montana tradition of aggressive field studies and tightly controlled laboratory research designs.

The goals of our research agenda have been established to provide medical professionals and ground force combatants with effective strategies to maintain safety and performance during extended operations in hostile environments.
