2022 Annual Research Symposium

University of Montana’s chapters of Phi Delta Kappa and Educators Rising cordially invite CoE undergraduates, graduate students and faculty to submit proposals for our college’s 2022 Annual Research Symposium on Wednesday, April 6th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. This is an informal event that is designed to support scholarly inquiry and ongoing research across multiple disciplines within our college. The symposium is also a great way to network with others.

Presenters will create a poster that details their work or area of interest. For the first hour, attendees will mill about the room speaking with individual presenters about their posters. Then, in the second hour, everyone will meet at roundtables. Discussant chairs will guide table conversations around general themes. It’s an excellent opportunity to practice one’s presentation skills while, at the same time, receiving helpful feedback from peers and faculty. This is considered to be a local conference, which can be listed as a presentation on one’s CV. Finally, top student posters selected by faculty from each department will be awarded a cash prize.

  • First place: $500
  • Second place: $300
  • Third place: $200
