Anticipated Value:   $1,100

Criteria:                      Full admission to any Master's degree program in the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education and Human Sciences; academic performance and potential in the field of education.

George and Laurine Harris Scholarship

 Anticipated Value:   $5,000

Criteria:                      Must be from Montana (ten years or diploma from accredited Montana high school), full admission to any graduate program in the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education and Human Sciences, motivation, character, academic performance, and potential in the field of education.

 Deadline for applications is March 9, 2010

Jim Atkinson/WMAEMSP Scholarship

 Anticipated Value:   $500

Criteria:                      A graduate student in elementary school administration; potential as an educational leader.

Floyd and Marlys Ann Boschee Scholarship

 Anticipated Value:   $500

Criteria:                      In-residence doctoral student emphasizing educational administration.

Edwin Boone Craighead Memorial Scholarship

 Anticipated Value:   $1,700

Criteria:                      Doctoral student; academic record; GRE scores; personality and aptitude for a position in higher education administration; one-page essay concerning the student's philosophy; judgment of the candidate's potential for higher education administration by professors.

John J. Hunt Scholarship

 Anticipated Value:   $600

Criteria:                      Doctoral student emphasizing educational administration; recipient must be a resident of the state of Montana.   

William C. Shreeve Education Administration Scholarship

                         Anticipated Value:   $2,000

Criteria:                      Full admission in Educational Leadership M.Ed.; concurrently pursuing a Principal's endorsement; high academic performance; demonstrated excellence (or potential for excellence) in leadership responsibilities in the public school setting.  Application must include a double-spaced, one-page essay describing: why s/he wants to become a principal, what innovations s/he would make as a public school principal, and why s/he would make them.  Requires two letters of support -- one from a teacher with whom s/he has taught for at least three years, and one from a school administrator.
